IMPACTs (Innovative Mobility and Planning for Advanced Connectivity and Traffic Safety) strives to develop solutions that improve quality of life for people and the natural environment, in line with evolving technological innovations.
Future transportation technologies must address both current and emerging challenges through new approaches enabled by advances in communication technologies and artificial intelligence. To support human-centric urban development, cutting-edge equipment and facilities are tested and implemented in real-world environments. IMPACTs operates a self-driving vehicle testbed on campus and integrates it with virtual environments to study and enhance road safety. In addition, through Living Labs in Daejeon and Jeju City, algorithms adaptable to real road environments are developed and evaluated.
