1. 요약(Abstract)
Old-age driving is a right that is directly related to individuals’ mobility and social participation, but at the same time, it is a social issue that is directly linked to public safety due to dangerous driving by elderly drivers.
In Korea, research on elderly drivers has somewhat expanded since around 2010, but only a few studies are still being conducted, and most previous studies are based on a single discipline and do not provide an integrated perspective on social issues.
In addition, with the development of autonomous driving technology, it is urgent to study how changes in this technological environment affect elderly drivers.
Therefore, this study aims to derive a balanced social policy between the two values by comprehensively examining social issues related to elderly drivers through a multidisciplinary convergence research team and deepening the understanding of the quality of life and safety of elderly drivers based on it.
노년기 운전은 개인의 이동권 및 사회 참여와 직결되는 권리인 동시에 사회적으로는 고령운전자 중 위험 운전자로 인한 공공의 안전과 직결된 사회 문제임. 국내에서는 2010년 전후로 고령운전자에 대한 연구가 다소 확대되었지만 여전히 소수의 연구만이 이루어지고 있고, 대다수 선행 연구가 하나의 학제만의 기반으로 하여 사회 문제에 대한 통합적인 시각을 제시해주지 못하고 있음. 아울러, 자율주행기술 개발에 따라 이러한 기술 환경의 변화가 고령운전자에게 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지에 대한 연구가 시급한 실정임. 이에 본 연구는 다학제로 이루어진 융합 연구팀이 고령 운전자에 대한 사회 문제를 통합적으로 고찰하여, 고령운전자의 삶의 질과 안전에 대한 이해를 심화시키고 이를 바탕으로 두 가치 사이의 균형잡힌 사회 정책을 도출하고자 함
