Dr. Oscar Oviedo-Trespalacios Appointed as Adjunct Professor
We are delighted to announce the official appointment of Dr. Oscar Oviedo-Trespalacios as an Adjunct Professor within our department.
An internationally celebrated scholar in transport safety, responsible AI, and human–technology interactions, Dr. Oviedo-Trespalacios brings a wealth of expertise to our community. He currently serves in the Department of Values, Technology & Innovation at Delft University of Technology, where he also directs the Future of Mobility Program. His pioneering research continuously shapes our understanding of behavioral adaptation, technology misuse, and the societal readiness for emerging automated mobility systems.
- Research Excellence: He holds an exceptional academic record with over 200 peer-reviewed publications and more than 10,000 citations, consistently translating rigorous research into impactful policy and practice.
- Global Leadership: His work has been instrumental in guiding international discussions focused on AI governance, transport safety, and the design of human-centered technologies.
- Ongoing Collaboration: Through his active partnership with our HumanFACTS Lab (alongside Dr. Tiantian Chen), he has significantly contributed to our educational initiatives, workshops, and international mobility programs at KAIST.
