Prof. Heye Huang – Appointed as Assistant Professor

The Cho Chun Shik Graduate School of Mobility is delighted to welcome Dr. Heye Huang, who has been appointed as our newest Assistant Professor.
Dr. Huang arrives at KAIST with a remarkable international research trajectory spanning three continents. After earning her Ph.D. at Tsinghua University, she held research positions at MIT and the University of Wisconsin–Madison, complemented by visiting and collaborative roles across leading institutions in Europe and the United States.
- Ph.D. – School of Vehicle and Mobility, Tsinghua University
- Postdoctoral Associate – MIT SMART Center
- Research Associate – University of Wisconsin–Madison
- Visiting Scholar – Department of Cognitive Robotics, Delft University of Technology, with further research roles at UC Berkeley and TU Munich
- Research focus – generative models and human-centered AI for safe, reliable, and trustworthy autonomy in safety-critical systems
